Above all, we'd hoped to be married in time for my husband's first post in Germany
The timing was perfect; both our families would be present at the graduation. My husband, Gerald, graduated from the United States Army AIT School in mid-March. We canceled our original plans of having our dream wedding in Arizona and opted for an intimate setting in South Louisiana.
Wedding preparations were underway the minute we received confirmation regarding Gerald's leave-time that followed graduation. With only a few days to find a dress and a location, our family came together in a grand way to help organize our wedding. And in four days the entire wedding was planned.
Above all, we'd hoped to be able to fly to Germany, where he will be stationed, together as husband and wife. As luck would have it, I had to patiently wait 3 months after our wedding until we were able to unite. I'll vouch; time away does make the heart grow fonder.
