Here’s video of The IND Carolers (and Friend) performing “Joey Durel’s Holiday To-Do List.”

Outgoing — and we mean that in every sense of the word — City-Parish President Joey Durel was roasted by friends, colleagues and the media on Tuesday night in a ballroom at The DoubleTree, a fête that featured presentations by longtime friend and real estate developer Robert Daigle, political supporters like attorney Gary McGoffin and former top aide Ben Berthelot, LUS Director Terry Huval and UL Lafayette President Joseph Savoie. Don Bacque emceed the occasion. The event also featured a “live” video feed from the final City-Parish Council meeting of Durel’s three terms in office featuring Chief Administrative Officer Dee Stanley and Councilmen Kenneth Boudreaux and Jay Castille.

The event closed, prior to an impromptu speech by Durel, with a song performed by IND staff members Meredith Johnson, Christiaan Mader, Cherry Fisher May, Walter Pierce and Robin May joined by Gregg Gothreaux from LEDA.

Check out a photo gallery of the event here.

Lyrics to “Joey Durel’s Holiday To-Do List” are included below the video.
