The annual event encourages Lafayette to eat out to help raise money for St. Joseph's Diner. The annual Dine for the Diner takes place tomorrow, and more than 35 restaurants are participating, including seven food trucks.
The day, April 18, is the annual Eat Out to End Hunger Day, and the only thing you must do to raise money for St. Joseph's Diner is to eat out at any participating restaurant. The restaurants then donate 10 percent of your purchase to the diner, which serves free lunch to anyone who is hungry as well as delivers meals to Lafayette's homebound.
Make a reservation at any of the restaurants, or visit the food truck roundup from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Outlaws on Johnston St. Food trucks participating are Acadiana Grilled Cheese Co., Freetown Fries, Hibachi Hero, LA StrEAT, Lil' Chubs Grill, Pelon's Mexican Hot Dogs and Viva la Waffle.
